Angela Federica De Fazio

I joined the Plasmon Nanotechnologies group in October 2020 and my main research is focused on the fabrication of plasmonic substrate for the traslocation of biomolecules. I obtained her PhD in Physics from the University of Southampon in 2020 with a thesis on the fabrication of 3D self-assembled materials made of inorganic nanoparticles and nucleic acids. A chemist by education, my background is mostly about nanomaterials synthesis and surface functionalisation with (bio)polymers, with a focus on optically-active materials and thei morphological and functional characterization.
